What did you learn about an app? Tell us which finding helped you make a decision, and what could have been clearer.

The address button opens your email app. If you use Gmail in your browser, choose “Open in Gmail” to prepare the same draft in a new tab. You can also write directly to support@vaultdog.app for VaultDog support.

A few quick checks

Login Items are unavailable

Review VaultDog’s Automation permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security. VaultDog uses System Events to read visible Login Items. Run Check now after reviewing the permission; missing access is different from finding no startup items.

An app has no observed connections

Open and use the app, then check again. VaultDog observes connection metadata that macOS exposes while monitoring is running. It cannot reconstruct connections from before it was present, and some processes may not be attributable to an installed app.

A local device is missing

Check that the Mac is on the expected local network and review Local Network permission. Try Discover devices. Sleeping devices, VPNs, guest networks, and client isolation can hide devices; the router’s client list remains the better source for its whole network.

A file seems linked to the wrong app

Leave the file in place. Open its location in Finder and report the association you expected. Some matches are clues rather than proof of ownership; a related path does not mean a file is unnecessary.
